Connect

Life isn’t meant to be lived alone. We are meant to live in community. Our small groups, ministries and events offer an opportunity for people of all ages to connect with one another and build deep relationships based on shared values and interests.

WOMEN

First Friday
On the first Friday of the month, the women of West Side get together virtually AND in person for an evening of food, fun and fellowship. It’s a great intergenerational opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Men’s Council
Realizing that many men have a hard time talking about their feelings, we launched Men’s Council in the fall of 2016. Groups of six to eight men meet once a month and practice a heart-centered way of listening, speaking and being together. The goal of these small groups, which are facilitated by Elders, is to create a space where men can speak without being judged, talk about their emotions and be emotional, forge real, authentic relationships with other men, and share the challenges of the different roles that men have in life – husband/partner, father, grandfather, brother, provider, etc. The groups form in the fall and continue through the spring.

SUPPORT GROUPs

Good Grief
Whether you are struggling with a recent loss or one from years ago, our bereavement group can help. Our next meeting will take place in the Memorial Garden on November 17 at 2:00 pm.  (If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll gather in the West Side Room.) We'll be working with Paula D'Arcy's book The Winter of the Heart: Finding Your Way Through the Mystery of Grief. Please bring a mask!
