Grow

Nurturing our spirituality is an important goal at West Side. By coming together to learn, discuss and pray, we grow as individuals and as a congregation. Participating in a small group also is a wonderful way to form relationships within the larger congregation.

Sunday Small Groups

On Sundays at 10:30 am, both in person and online, we're exploring what Paul calls the Fruits of the Spirit, which are, quite simply, different expressions of love: "joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:22). Participating in a small group is a wonderful way to stay connected with your West Side friends and maybe make a few new ones! Click here to sign up for the virtual group.

Contemplative Practices, which includes Centering Prayer, meets via Zoom on Sundays from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Click here to sign up...or to ask questions.

Weekday Small Groups

Tuesdays with Marc. Join Pastor Marc's group of early risers at 7:30 am on Tuesdays - in person or online - for an exploration of Thomas Kelly's A Testament of Devotion. Almost a century ago, Kelly, a Quaker missionary and educator, called a group of seven Christians together to help one another have faith in the midst of the stress and strain of modern life. This book was compiled from the essays he wrote during the period he met with this special group. Click here to purchase the book and sign up for the group.

Circles of Trust. If you’re serious about deepening your relationship with God, commit to joining a Circle of Trust. Specially trained members of the congregation lead these small groups on a monthly basis for those who want to more fully understand God’s call to themselves and to the church. The tools—prayer, Bible reading, discussion, contemplation—are simple, the effects profound. Click here for more information.
